Did Lord Macaulay succeeded in his mission ?

A terrible quote

Along with the Minute, other statements by Macaulay have been culled from his speeches and letters in order to prove the evil colonialist designs behind his education policy. Not only Hindu nationalists, but generally Hindu and generally nationalist sources frequently quote the following musings supposedly uttered by Lord Macaulay in Parliament:

"I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation."

The quote is usually referenced as "Macaulay, British Parliament,1835". In that year, Macaulay was actually in India, though other oft-quoted speeches by him on the same subject had indeed been delivered in Parliament, but in 1833.

Punctuality

Punctuality is a virtue, if you don't mind being lonely. The only good thing about punctuality is that it usually gets you an apology. It is the politeness of Kings

Punctuality is defined as being where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be. Over the years, our society seems to have lost its sense of urgency when it comes to being on time for anything. To make matters worse, we justify it by saying things like "Everyone else gets to interview or meetings a few minutes late so it's OK for me too." You may not realize it but when you are not punctual, people make one or more of the following judgments about you.

Punctuality Determines Your Credibility

You Are Unorganized Being late is not good and racing into a interview or meeting out of breath is almost as bad. Figure out ahead of time how long it takes to get somewhere and leave early enough to get there. How hard is that?
You Are Really Not Interested Being late can be interpreted to mean that you are not interested in that job, not interested in that project, not interested in that person.etc. Because if you really were, you would do whatever it takes to be there on time.
You Are Disrespectful Everyone has other things they need to do. By not being on time, you are saying you don't think that job or person is all that important or that their time is all that valuable.

These points sound very harsh. Yet sociological and business survey show that not being punctual is extremely hazardous to your image and ultimate success. All of these judgments

determine your credibility. Once you've lost credibility, it's almost impossible to repair the damage and get it back.

The Importance of Punctuality : Lateness is a sign of poor time management skills
When you are late for appointments, meetings or work, you show a lack of respect for other people's time as well as your own. Punctuality is a problem for many people.

How can we ensure that we keep appointments by arriving on time? Here are some suggestions:

Make up your mind that you will be punctual from now on. In many cases lateness is caused by a lack of commitment to arrive on time. Have the right mindset.
Record the commitment in your planner and also record the time you must leave the house or office in order to arrive on time. Plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.
If you have a fair distance to travel, always allow more time than you think it will take.
Don't be trapped by the one last thing syndrome. If you're ready to leave and it's still early, leave anyway. Utilize the time at the other end rather than trying to finish one more task before you leave.
If you are not a morning person, but have early morning commitments, set the alarm a little earlier. Some of us may need to go to bed a little earlier to make this work.

When it comes right down to it, punctuality is a habit that can be developed. It takes great effort at first, but eventually simply happens. Habits are formed by repetition. If you want to acquire the habit of punctuality, you must repeat this behavior again and again.

So Vit'ians having a strong believe that the habit of Punctuality shall be followed and maintained life long.

Let lavatory be at par.

Recently I have been to one of my friends Sudarshan's place. And I was surprised to see his toilet. It was beautifully decorated and was looking gorgeous then my bedroom. I remember a decade back Sudharshn's home was not having even a lavatory. that family was following the traditional INDIAN LOTA culture.

After spending 2 years in States, I can see Sudarshan had changed his views. He had spent equally on an area which was ignored from a long time

Anyways my objective is not to discuss your lavatory or making it beautiful. Not even running an ad campaign of JAQUAR or PARYWARE. My major concern is to discuss about Error Pages.

Error pages are the pages, which display the error in user friendly format and perform the necessary action. In another words they are actually a place where coding indigestion can be dropped. Many people don't even bother to create these error pages in their site (like sudarshan's father). And resulting website error drops the coding shits anywhere in a dirty way.

No matter how perfect you are in coding, but you can handle only those exceptions which you have faced and which are known. You can not think about those errors which are generating due to environments. So don't forget to create error pages. Don't even leave a single chance to display the nasty dirty yellow pages.

We are living in era of quality and every one is focusing on quality and upgrade. If we want to survive in this industry we have to focus on this untouched area. Remember, excel is not bond of scope. Yet there are so many things can be done in area of error pages. So spend some time and dedication on Catch Blocks and Error pages also.
